Weekly Weather Forecast (Jan. 31 – Feb. 6)

Northwest China: January 31, western Xinjiang will see light snowfall. February 1 to 2, southeastern sections of the region will receive light snow. Affected by streams of cold air, from February 3 to 4 northern Xinjiang will have light snow. February 5 to 6, eastern sections of the region will see light snow then turn cloudy with force 4 to 6 northerly winds and a drop in temperature. 

 

North China: Affected by a stream of cold air, eastern parts of Inner Mongolia will have light snowfall on January 31. February 1 to 2, most of the north will have force 4 to 6, then 3 to 4 northerly winds with colder temperatures. February 3 to 4, most of the region will be see sunny to cloudy skies with temperatures rising. February 5 to 6, affected by another stream of cold air, southern parts will be overcast with light snowfall, while force 4 to 6 northerly winds will blow throughout most of the region, accompanied by lower temperatures. 

 

Northeast China: Affected by streams of cold air, most of Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces will experience light snowfall on January 31. February 1 to 2, most of the region will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds with colder temperatures. February 3 to 4, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy with warmer temperatures. February 5 to 6, affected by another stream of cold air, most of the region will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds with a drop in temperature.

 

Central China: January 31, southern portions of Hunan Province will experience light rainfall or sleet. February 1 to 2, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy. February 3, most areas will continue to be sunny to cloudy with temperatures rising. Affected by streams of both cold and warm air, central and southern parts will turn to rain or snow, with possible moderate rain or heavy snowfall in some of Hunan Province.

 

East China: Affected by streams of cold air, from January 31 to February 2, most of the region will experience force 4 to 6, then 3 to 4 northerly winds with temperatures dropping. February 3, most of the east will see sunny skies with warmer temperatures. February 4, southern parts will be overcast with light rain or snowfall. February 5 to 6 , affected by a stream of cold air, most of the region will see force 4 to 5 northerly winds and a drop in temperature with light rainfall or snow expected in central and southern sections.

 

South China: January 31 to February 1, most of the region will see light rain. February 2, most of Guangxi will be overcast with light rainfall. February 3 to 4, most areas will have light rainfall. February 5, most will be cloudy to sunny. February 6, western and northern parts will receive light rainfall.

 

Southwest China: January 31, most of Tibet and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will have light rain or snowfall. February 1 to 3, eastern Tibet and eastern portions of the southwest region will see light rain. February 4, the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will be overcast with light rainfall. February 5 to 6, eastern parts of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and eastern parts of the Sichuan Basin will have light rain.
