A 27-year-old man died in Huashan Hospital at around 6 pm yesterday after falling from a 18th-floor hotel room onto a platform outside the fourth floor around 4 pm at the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza on Panyu Road, Changning District, doctors said.
Police arrived at the scene about 5:15 pm and are still investigating the cause of the man's plunge. The hotel wouldn't release the man's name and age but said he was a guest in the hotel.
