China has called for Israel and Palestine to take concrete measures to resume peace talks, China's special envoy to the Middle East Wang Shijie said in Beijing Wednesday.
Wang visited to the Middle East from May 18 to 22. This visit was aimed at making efforts to resume peace talks, Wang said.
China hoped that the Palestinians would end the violent activities towards innocent Israeli civilians immediately.
Israel's security should also be guaranteed in the peace process, he said.
In the meantime, Israel should take concrete measures to improve the humanitarian situation of the Palestinian people, Wang stressed.
