China is not planning to join the Group of Seven (G7), said Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan in Beijing Tuesday at the regular press conference.
Aware of the role played by the Group of Seven in international affairs, China maintains contact with the group, Kong said.
He expressed China's gratitude for the G7's timely reports on its conferences.
