Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki arrived in Shanghai Monday afternoon, starting a five-day state visit to China as guest of President Hu Jintao.
Kibaki will travel to Beijing where he is expected to hold talks with Hu and meet with other leaders including top lawmaker Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao, sources with the Foreign Ministry said.
He will also visit Shenzhen, an economic boomtown in south China's Guangdong Province.
This is Kibaki's first visit to China as Kenyan president.
