A leading newspaper of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) ran a commentary on Monday expressing full support for China's newly adopted Anti-Secession Law.
The legislation, which was passed on Monday by the National People's Congress to prevent the secession of Taiwan from China, is conducive to defending China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, said the Rodong Sinmun newspaper in the commentary titled Just Measure for Country's Reunification and Territorial Integrity.
"It is another great achievement and progress made by Chinese people in the struggle to oppose 'Taiwan independence' and achieve national reunification," the commentary said.
"The Korean people fully support China's measure," it said, noting that many other countries across the world have also expressed their understanding and support for the law.
"Unshakable are the stand and will of China to fulfill the law and achieve the complete reunification and territorial integrity of the country," it said.
