At least nine people, including two women and one child, have been killed in violent actions in Guatemala, Guatemalan police announced Sunday.
The police said four people from a family were shot to death in the past 24 hours in the capital Guatemala City, while three bodies were found in a drainpipe. According to forensic analysis, the three died from suffocation.
In the northern suburb of the capital city, police also found a body with several shoots and on early Sunday, one child was found killed by an edge tool near a market.
In 2004, 847 teenagers were killed in violence in Guatemala, the most violent country in Central America.
