Officials from the State Environmental Protection Administration, the Ministry of Supervision and the Ministry of Finance have completed an inspection of the cleaning of the bottom of the Three Gorges reservoir.
The inspectors urged the local governments to continue the cleaning job and ensure that the reservoir area is free from pollution sources.
They also urged local authorities to set up task forces to deal with any possible emergencies of environmental pollution.
