The new leadership of the Yangtze River Flood Control Headquarters was announced Thursday.
Luo Qingquan, governor of central China's Hubei Province, was appointed as executive director of the headquarters.
Cai Qihua, director of Yangtze River Water Resources Committee, was appointed its executive deputy director.
Another seven high-ranking officials from the areas along the Yangtze were all appointed as deputy directors of the headquarters.
Li Antian, a noted expert in water resources, was invited to serve as its consultant.
