The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has announced that Zhang Xuezhong replaces Zhou Yongkang as secretary of the Sichuan Provincial CPC Committee.
Zhou Yongkang has been elected a member of the Political Bureau and of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee in the 16th National Congress of the CPC.
