The Conference for Electing Deputies of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) to the 10th National People's Congress (NPC) of China met for the second plenary session Friday to choose official candidates to enter the final round of election.
According to the election procedures, 54 official candidates have been chosen at the preliminary round of election from a total of 78 registrants who have succeeded in completing the nominations procedures. And the 54 candidates obtaining the larger number of votes will become the official candidates to enter the final round of election.
