Businessman Yang Bin was arrested on Wednesday in this capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province on charges of commercial crimes, according to local sources.
Yang, chairman of the board of directors and legal representative of the Shenyang Euro-Asia Group, was arrested by local police on charges of fraudulent investment schemes, offering bribes, fraudulent contracts and illegal occupancy of farmlands.
Local sources said Yang had been investigated by the police since October 4, 2002.
