Senior Chinese leader visits noted cultural figures

Li, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has visited several famous figures in the culture circle and extended festive greetings to them as the traditional Spring Festival is approaching.

Senior Chinese leader Li Changchun has visited several famous figures in the culture circle and extended festive greetings to them as the traditional Spring Festival is approaching.

Li, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), expressed his hope that these people could train more talent, put forward more suggestions for the country's construction and create more top-notch works.

He also called on people in the culture circle to innovate and contribute more to the nation's cultural development.

The people he visited are movie artists Wang Xiaotang, Ge Cunzhuang and Chen Qiang, drama artists Su Min, Wang Jinlu, and MaShaobo, famous poet He Jingzhi, journalists Feng Jian and Shen Li,as well as theorists Xing Bensi and Jiang Liu.
