A senior official has called for further deepening the ongoing anti-corruption campaign and preventing corruption by reforms, so as to increase the capabilities to fight corruption in an efficient way.
Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection remarked this in a study tour in Guangdong Province, south China, to inspect local efforts in building a clean government.
During his stay, from May 20-24, Wu visited Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangzhou cities, where local governments have tried to curb corruption by introducing market mechanism into fields like real estate sector and government procurement.
He also visited a number of factories and villages to see how ordinary people's rights are being protected.
