Russian chief negotiator Alexander Alexeyev returned to Beijing Thursday to participate in the longest-ever six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.
At Beijing's international airport, Alexeyev denied any "crisis" in the ongoing six-party talks and said "We will try our best to make the talks successful."
The six-nation negotiation might still last "one or two days," said the Russian deputy foreign minister.
The fourth round of six-party talks, involving China, the US, Russia, Japan, South and North Korea, inched into its tenth day today.
All sides are striving to forge a common document, which will set basic principles for resolving the nuclear issue.
Alexeyev arrived in Beijing on July 25 to attend the six-party talks and left for Moscow on July 30 to deal with certain "domestic issues."
