The Russian delegation today denied major differences in the current six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue and said the talks did not reach an impasse.
"There were no major differences, nor did the talks come to a standstill," said V. Yermolov, deputy head of the Russian delegation.
Consultations on the drafted common document were now well underway among all parties on the seventh day of the two-way six-party talks, he said, adding that Russia wished a concrete result would be achieved in this round of talks.
Earlier on Monday, US chief negotiator Christopher Hill said the process of consultations was "rather well" despite "difference on language."
However, he said it was still a "tough task" for all the parties to reach a consensus, and a lot of patience was needed.
