A batch of Chinese movies will screen during the Cannes Film Festival in May.
"Coffee Time" from Taiwan and Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's "2046" and "Cupid" will compete at the festival.
Zhang Yimou's film "House of Flying Daggers" will be publicly viewed during the festival. And Hong Kong hit movie series "Infernal affairs" may be invited to show in a back-to-back marathon like New Zealand blockbuster Lord of Ring's.
Four years ago, Chinese movies prevailed at Cannes, with Wong Kar-wai's "In the Mood for Love" and "Devils on the Doorstep" by Chinese mainland actor Jiang Wen winning awards.
Oscar winner "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" by Taiwan's director Ang Lee was also viewed. Enditem
