Chinese director Chen Kaige has another movie, Killing Me Softly, expected to premiere in cinemas around January 15th. 

 

This is the first English-speaking movie directed by Chen Kaige. It was given an R rating in 2000 when it was first shown in the US, for its strong sexuality, some violence and adult language. 　　

 

The distributor revealed that some sensitive scenes will be censored but obviously not all of them, for the film's topic of untrustworthy love stems from these key moments. 　　

 

A "Not for Children" notification is being considered for posting in cinemas. 　　

 

Chen said that, "Though the movie contains terror and sexual elements, the topic is still love. When you fall in love with somebody that you do not trust, the more you love, the less you are able to trust him or her. I think the film tells about an attitude towards love." 　　

 

The movie tells the story of Alice (Heather Graham), a research scientist living in London who drops her comfortable but ordinary relationship with her boyfriend and begins an obsessive affair with a mysterious and handsome mountaineer (Joseph Fiennes).
