A six-day Southeast Asian movie festival is due to open in Macao on Thursday, local media reported on Tuesday.
The Macao Post Daily quoted Alber Chu, the program curator of the festival, as saying that films from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand will be on show during the event.
Directors from the above three nations are to hold dialogues with spectators after some of the screenings, Chu told the newspaper.
Among the films to be on show are Sepet by Malaysian director Yasmin Ahmad, which has been awarded the Best Asian Film at the most recent Tokyo International Film Festival, the daily reported.
The festival was sponsored by the Audio-Visual Association, a local visual art association.
