Honorary Hollywood mayor Johnny Grant is expected to attend the 14th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Sanya in the southernmost China's Hainan Province from November 4, 2005 9 to 12.
On behalf of the US film industry, Johnny Grant will come to China to extend congratulations on the 100th anniversary of Chinese film, according to the China Film Artists Association, organizer of the festival.
Johnny Grant will also visit Beijing and Shanghai, the two bases of China's films industry, during his stay in China.
As two major awards for movies in China, the Golden Rooster and the Hundred Flowers are granted in alternate years.
