Tsui Hark has talked briefly about what he would do next. He said although up to six sequels to Seven Swords were in planning, he was not so confident about making all six of them.
He said it would be up to how well Seven Swords do in the market.
What Tsui Hark really wants to do is to adapt the classic fantasy novel Journey to the West.
The major challenge of making it possible is to get the script right and he has been working on it for years.
According to another report, Tsui Hark will soon direct a biopic of Brigitte Lin, who will be played by Cecilia Cheung.
