Britain Wednesday condemned the bombing of the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad, claiming that the attack would not weaken the resolve of the international community's commitment to rebuild Iraq.
"I condemn the brutal terrorist attack against the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad on Oct. 14 and extend my sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured," British Foreign Office Europe Minister Denis MacShane said in a statement.
"Those opposed to success of the new Iraq are our common enemy. Such acts of violence will only strengthen the resolve of the international community's commitment to rebuild Iraq," MacShane said.
Earlier reports said at least five people were injured in a car explosion in front of the Turkish embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday.
The attack came when Iraqis, including the US-appointed Iraqi Governing Council, are grumbling over a Turkish decision to send stabilization troops to Iraq.
