Spain has found no evidence of chemical arms in Syria, Spanish Vice Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said on Tuesday.
Spain does not support any military threat or intervention against Syria under any circumstances, Rajoy said on Ondacero radio station.
He also said that the Spanish government has no information of any imminent military intervention against Syria.
Rajoy said that during a phone conversation, US President George W. Bush asked Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar to persuade Syria not to become a "haven for undesirable individuals."
After the war ends in Iraq, the international community should make more important diplomatic efforts to solve all pending issues in the Middle East, he added.
