No Set Targets in Iraq to Be Bombed: Australian Spokesman
An Australian defense forces spokesman said Monday that there are no set, strategic targets in Iraq to be bombed.

The spokesman said Australia's F/A-18 Hornet fighter bombers' targeting policy has evolved as the war progressed and shifted from set targets to engaging ones.

"As the coalition ground forces have gradually taken control of large parts of Iraq, the targeting policy has evolved. The policy now focuses on engaging targets in direct support of coalition ground forces," he said.

Australia's 14 F/A-18s in Iraq will turn back once the war ends but 150 special forces troops will remain there, defense officials said earlier.
