Director and secretary of the Leading Party Members Group, of Autonomous Regional Women's Federation in 1984-1988.

Head of Publicity Department, in 1988-1989; Standing Committee member and head of Publicity Department, in 1989-1994; deputy secretary, in 1994-2000, of CPC Autonomous Regional Committee of Inner Mongolia.

Vice chairwoman and acting chairwoman of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government in 2000-2001; deputy secretary of the CPC Autonomous Regional Committee and chairwoman of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government since 2001.
