The CPPCC National Committee has set up a Standing Committee to preside over the work of the National Committee.
The Standing Committee is composed of the chairman, vice chairmen, the secretary-general and members. Standing Committee candidates are nominated by political parties, general organizations and people representing various walks of life within the CPPCC National Committee, and elected by the plenary session of the National Committee.
