Taiwan Natives to Condemn Japan's War Crimes at UN Headquarters

May Chin, a noted personality on the island of Taiwan, left Taipei Thursday for the United Nations Headquarters in New York to tell about Japan's war crimes against natives in the island province during World War II, according to Taiwan-based media.

Ma Ying-jeou, the newly-elected chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang Party (KMT), saw Chin and her delegation off at the airport. Ma donated 3,000 US dollars to show his support to the lady.

Chin said at the airport that the Japanese government has never apologized for the past war crimes and instead has tried every means to cover up the atrocities by re-writing history in Japanese school books. She called it a violence against Asian people who were invaded by Japan in the past.

Chin said she will lead the Taiwan native representatives to speak to all peace-loving people and ask them to support their action against Japan.

Li Ao, a well-known writer in Taiwan, donated one million NT dollars to Chin's delegation earlier.
