Shuan Shuan, one of three female Pandas at Mexico City's Chapultepec Zoo, stands on her hind legs in a cage in the zoo on April 11, 2003. Shuan Shuan and Xin Xin, another female panda, have been artificially inseminated with the sperm of a male panda Ling Ling on loan from China. Ling Ling has visited the Mexico City zoo three times in the hope of mating with the females but to no avail. Zoo authorities have resorted to artificial means to bring about a pregnancy.
