The State Environmental Protection Administration has decided to launch a campaign to select 100 best environmental protection engineering projects with a view to awarding those units that have made outstanding contributions.
This is the highest award of the kind ever given by the government. It is a major breakthrough in China's environmental management in which it is required that environmental pollution control facilities have to be built when an engineering project is built.
