Students nurse injured owl back to health
Adjust font size:

Two university students in Kashi, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, rescued an injured owl and returned it to the wild on Tuesday after it recovered.

Zheng Shaopeng, one of the two students, said he and his classmate had found the injured bird in the snow on December 20. They took it back to their school and put it in a paper box, where it convalesced. "We knew owls are under second class State protection, so we fed and took care of it. Once it had recovered, we sent it back to the wild," the student said.
