Taiwan pop megastar Jay Chou will team up with the godfather of Chinese rock, Cui Jian, for three MTV-MOTO ROKR (pronounced as rocker) concerts in June.
MTV China says, in a handout released to the press, that the powerful duo will stage shows in Qingdao, which is located in eastern China's Shandong Province, Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province, and Chengdu in southwestern Sichuan Province from June 22 to 24.
The shows are jointly sponsored by MTV China, Motorola and Zhejiang Satellite Television.
MTV says that although the two celebrities are popular enough to draw large audiences, more performers will take part in the concerts. Their names are to be announced in the following weeks.
