With the approach of final examinations in middle schools, more students from Tangshan, Hebei Province, have been found suffering from worsening depression.
Many students, mostly between the ages of 13 and 17, showed symptoms of a loss of enthusiasm, self-pity or antisocial behavior toward their classmates due to increasing stress, doctors said. They diagnosed the illness as typical depression for teenagers and recommended that their parents take them to hospitals for psychotherapy.
