The annual "Meet In Beijing Festival" is kicking off, bringing to the city a month of wonderful concerts, operas, dramas, exhibitions and activities.
This year, the Meet in Beijing Festivial will be joining hands with the Beijing International Drama Festival and from April 26 - May 31, Beijingers can enjoy the performances of troupes from over 30 countries.
For fans of the movie and muscial The Sound of Music this year's festival is a particular treat because starting tonight, the sound of music Orchestra from Salzburg, Austria will be playing tunes from the drama.
Strains of "Do, Re Mi," "Edel weiss," and "So Long, Farewell," will be floating out from the Poly Theater.
