Ruins of Ancient House Unearthed in Central China

Ruins of an ancient house have been unearthed recently in Neihuang County of Henan Province, in central China.

The ruins of the two-roomed house were unearthed near the original course of the Yellow River, which had submerged the house and preserved it in sand.

The tiled roof of the house was preserved well, though it was broken into two parts. One part is 5.5 meters long and 3.5 meters wide and the other is about 38 meters long and three meters wide.

Chinese archeologists said the ruins belonged to the Han Dynasty (206 BC -- 220 AD) and they provide precious clues on ancient architectural frames and layouts, as well as on the changes of the Yellow River's courses and hydrology.
