Shanghai-based Tongji University celebrated Saturday the 90th birthday of renowned professor Li Guohao.
Professor Li is considered as a Chinese master of civil engineering who has made many contributions to the study of bridge construction. He resolved the knotty problems in the construction of the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.
A winner of many top prizes, Professor Li is an honorary president of Tongji University and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
