A private funeral service for Hong Kong actor and singer Leslie Cheung was held at the Hong Kong Funeral Home this noon. Hundreds of grieving fans were gathering there to pay their last respects to the star of Farewell My Concubine.
Cheung's friends Maggie Cheung Man Yuk, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Anita Mui Yim Fong, Faye Wang, and others were present.
Hundreds of fans were gathering outside the funeral home. One even fainted out of extreme grief and was sent to the hospital.
Leslie Cheung jumped to his death last Tuesday, the greatest loss in the Hong Kong entertainment scene since the death of Roman Tam last October.
