Archeologists have excavated an ancient brick kiln discovered in east China's Anhui Province by farmers planting trees.
Finished bricks were unearthed from the B-shaped 30-sq.m kiln in Shankou Village of Feixi County, which archeologists said was probably built after the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220) and before the Tang Dynasty (618-907)
Archeologists believed the bricks covered with decorative patterns and figures were specially used for building tombs.
The possibility of finding large-scale tombs in the area could not be ruled out, the archeologists said.
