A French art show about the reign of French king Louis XIV will be exhibited in Beijing next month at the Meridian Gate, entrance to the Forbidden City.
The Meridian Gate, the entrance to Forbidden City, has been repaired to welcome the precious cultural relics from Louis XIV's reign.
Echoing last year's exhibiton in France on art works from the reign of Chinese Emperor Kangxi, the exhibition is an important part of the French Cultural Year in China.
The Meridian Gate is the southern entrance of the Forbidden City and the largest of its four gates.
This will be the first foreign exhibition in the royal gate tower since the founding of the People's Republic.
