An exhibition of traditional Taohuawu wood engravings is now underway at Beijing Arts and Crafts Museum in the city's Wangfujing area.
The items on display include Pleasant Countenance, a print made on an ancient printing plate featuring a lovely cherub, which is considered representative work of the Taohuawu style.
Taohuawu, or Peach Blossom Garden, has become famous for its unique wood prints used for New Year's celebrations for hundreds of years.
The prints mirror local life and folk customs in south China.
