Tibetan gazelles, the state's second level-protected animals, are seen at the source of the Yellow River September 27, 2003. Madoi County in the Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, where the source of the Yellow River lies, has strengthened their force in wild animal protection. They offer a peaceful living environment for wild yaks, Tibetan wild asses, Tibetan gazelles, white-lipped deer and others. (China.org.cn, 17thcongress.org.cn)
