Friends of Dunhuang (Hong Kong) Limited
Friends of Dunhuang (Hong Kong) Limited (FoDHK) is a non-profit organization incorporated in May 2010 in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, launched by Jao Tsung-I, a renowned Chinese scholar, artist, and expert in Chinese culture. Founding members included Gabriel Chi Ming Yu, Chack Fan Lee, Lee Mei Yin, Leonie Ki, and Stanley Wong, among others. FoDHK aims to provide a platform for enthusiasts of Dunhuang culture in Hong Kong to better collaborate with various organizations that cherish Dunhuang culture and support the Dunhuang Academy in protecting the Dunhuang Caves and cultivating talent. It also endeavors to promote Dunhuang culture in both Hong Kong and other parts of the world.
Since its establishment, FoDHK has raised funds through social initiatives to support various activities including the digitization of Dunhuang cave murals, maintenance and protection of the Dunhuang caves, environmental conservation at the Mogao Caves, talent training, and funding scholars from Dunhuang to conduct academic investigations along the Silk Road. These efforts have significantly bolstered the research and protection of the Dunhuang Caves.
香港敦煌之友基金會
2010年5月,在國學大師饒宗頤的號召下,由熱愛敦煌藝術和中華文化的人士組成、在中國香港特別行政區注冊的非營利公益團體“香港敦煌之友”正式成立。該組織的創會成員包括余志明、李焯芬、李美賢、紀文鳳及黃炳培等,宗旨是作為熱衷敦煌文化人士的香港平臺,連同香港和各方熱愛敦煌文化的機構,支持敦煌研究院保護、保育敦煌石窟及培育人才;在香港推廣敦煌文化及在海外弘揚敦煌文化。
“香港敦煌之友”自成立以來,通過社會力量募集的善款,用于敦煌石窟壁畫的數字化、敦煌石窟的保護維修、莫高窟環境保護、人才培養、資助敦煌研究院學者赴絲綢之路沿線進行學術考察等,有力地支持了敦煌石窟的保護研究。
