CPPCC Members

The National Committee of the CPPCC is composed of representatives from the CPC and other political parties, prominent individuals without party affiliation, people’s organizations, ethnic minority groups, compatriots in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan, returned overseas Chinese, and other sectors of society, as well as specially invited individuals. They are divided into a number of participating sectors.

The compositions of the local committees are modeled on the National Committee in line with local conditions.

The members of the CPPCC National Committee are decided by the Standing Committee after certain procedures. Likewise, those of the local committees are decided by the standing committees of the local committees. These members have the right to vote and stand for election at their meetings and the rights to voice opinions, express criticism, and make proposals to their committees.

政協(xié)委員

中國人民政治協(xié)商會議全國委員會由中國共產(chǎn)黨、各民主黨派、無黨派人士、人民團體、各少數(shù)民族和各界的代表，香港特別行政區(qū)同胞、澳門特別行政區(qū)同胞、臺灣同胞和歸國僑胞的代表以及特別邀請的人士組成，設(shè)若干界別。中國人民政治協(xié)商會議地方委員會的組成，根據(jù)當?shù)厍闆r，參照全國委員會的組成決定。

中國人民政治協(xié)商會議全國委員會委員經(jīng)相關(guān)程序后，須由中國人民政治協(xié)商會議全國委員會常務(wù)委員會協(xié)商決定。地方委員會委員經(jīng)相關(guān)程序后，須由各級地方委員會常務(wù)委員會協(xié)商決定。全國政協(xié)委員和地方政協(xié)委員在本會會議上有表決權(quán)、選舉權(quán)和被選舉權(quán)；有對本會工作提出意見、批評、建議的權(quán)利。
