Prominent Individuals Without Party Affiliation

These refer to the prominent individuals who have no affiliation to any of the political parties, but have the desire and the ability to participate in and deliberate on the administration of state affairs. They are individuals who have made positive contributions to society and have certain social influence. With a well-rounded education, they can undertake relevant duties in the same way as the eight non-CPC political parties. They serve as an important force in China’s political activities, which actively participate in and deliberate on the administration of state affairs and exercise democratic oversight.
