Special Committees Under the CPPCC National Committee

The CPPCC National Committee sets up special committees and other departments in response to its needs and upon the decision of the Standing Committee. These special committees work under the leadership of the Standing Committee and the Council of the Chairperson. They play a basic role in the CPPCC as they connect the CPPCC members like a bond and facilitate their performance of duties.

The current 14th CPPCC National Committee has 10 special committees:

? Committee on Proposals;

? Committee on Economic Affairs;

? Committee on Agriculture and Rural Areas;

? Committee on Population, Resources, and Environment;

? Committee on Education, Science, Health, and Sports;

? Committee on Social and Legal Affairs;

? Committee on Ethnic and Religious Affairs;

? Committee on Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese;

? Committee on Foreign Affairs;

? Committee on Culture, Historical Data, and Studies.

政協全國委員會專門委員會

中國人民政治協商會議全國委員會根據工作需要，設立若干專門委員會及其他工作機構，由常務委員會決定。專門委員會是常務委員會和主席會議領導下的工作機構，是政協聯系委員的重要紐帶，是政協履行職能的重要載體，在政協工作中發揮基礎性作用。

政協十四屆全國委員會設置提案委員會、經濟委員會、農業和農村委員會、人口資源環境委員會、教科衛體委員會、社會和法制委員會、民族和宗教委員會、港澳臺僑委員會、外事委員會、文化文史和學習委員會等10個專門委員會。
