Exchange not Estrangement, Mutual Learning over Cultural Clashes, and Equality Instead of Superiority

Diversity spurs interaction among civilizations, which in turn promotes mutual learning and further development. Exchange and mutual learning among different civilizations with distinct systems and paths can provide a strong impetus for the progress of human society. The world is home to more than 200 countries and regions, more than 2,500 ethnic groups, and a population of more than 7 billion. Cultural differences should not impede communication or be a reason for confrontation. Strengthening people-to-people and cultural exchange is the common aspiration of the people of all countries that corresponds with the common interests of all countries.

China opposes cultural hegemony and advocates respecting diversity in world civilizations and promoting understanding through exchange, unity through mutual learning, and development through coexistence to continue construction of a global community of shared future. Only when the international community opposes discrimination against any civilization, works to break down the barriers between civilizations, prohibits conflicts between civilizations, and empowers various human civilizations to add splendor to each other and create symphonies together can all civilizations coexist harmoniously and ensure everyone enjoys cultural nourishment.

以文明交流超越文明隔閡、文明互鑒超越文明沖突、文明共存超越文明優(yōu)越

文明因多樣而交流，因交流而互鑒，因互鑒而發(fā)展。不同文明、制度、道路的交流互鑒可以為人類社會進(jìn)步提供強(qiáng)大動力。世界上有200多個國家和地區(qū)、2500多個民族、70多億人口，文化的差異不應(yīng)該成為交流的障礙，更不能成為對抗的理由。加強(qiáng)人文交往是各國人民的共同愿望，符合各國共同利益。

中國反對文化霸權(quán)，主張尊重世界文明多樣性，以交流促理解，以互鑒促團(tuán)結(jié)，以共存促發(fā)展，推動共建人類命運共同體。國際社會只有抵制文明歧視、打破文明隔閡、反對文明沖突，讓人類創(chuàng)造的各種文明交相輝映，編織出斑斕絢麗的圖畫，才能讓各種文明和諧共存，讓人人享有文化滋養(yǎng)。
