Guizhou as an Epitome

On October 19, 2017, in a meeting with Guizhou delegates to the 19th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping noted that Guizhou had followed through on the CPC Central Committee's decisions and plans over the past five years, making new breakthroughs one after another in all fields of endeavor. Apart from a considerable growth in its overall strength, the province has also witnessed impressive progress in the fight against poverty, in the conservation of the environment, in reform and opening up, in giving people a stronger sense of fulfillment, and in fostering a better political atmosphere. Guizhou's achievements epitomize the great strides in the cause of the Communist Party of China and the country since the 18th CPC National Congress. It demonstrates that the principles, policies and plans developed by the CPC Central Committee are in every way correct.

In 2017, Guizhou's GDP exceeded RMB 1.3 trillion, almost twice that in 2012, and it had ranked among the country's top three provinces for seven years in a row in terms of growth rate. More improvements were seen in the quality of people's lives. In that year, the per capita disposable income of residents in the province was RMB 16,704, a nominal increase of 10.5% over 2016; the per capita housing area of urban and rural residents was 37.52 square meters and 35.62 square meters, respectively; and there were 35 private cars for every 100 urban households at the end of the year. Today's Guizhou is striding towards the next stage of economic and social development with a greater focus on quality. The experience of this province has proved that it is quite possible for an underdeveloped region to achieve leapfrogging and stay in step with the country's endeavor to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

貴州縮影

2017年10月19日,習近平在參加中共十九大貴州省代表團討論時指出,五年來,貴州認真貫徹落實中共中央決策部署,各方面工作不斷有新進展。綜合實力顯著提升,脫貧攻堅成效顯著,生態環境持續改善,改革開放取得重大進展,人民群眾獲得感不斷增強,政治生態持續向好。貴州取得的成績,是中共十八大以來黨和國家事業大踏步前進的一個縮影。這從一個角度說明了中共十八大以來黨中央確定的大政方針和工作部署是完全正確的。

2017年,貴州省GDP達1.3萬多億元,和五年前相比基本實現翻番,增長速度則實現了連續七年居全國前三;居民生活質量進一步改善,全年居民人均可支配收入16704元,比上年名義增長10.5%;城鎮居民人均現住房建筑面積37.52平方米,農村居民人均現住房建筑面積35.62平方米;年末每百戶城鎮居民家庭擁有家用汽車35輛。當前,貴州經濟社會發展繼續大踏步前進,發展質量得到進一步提升。貴州經驗證明,一個欠發達地區完全可以實現跨越式發展,與整個國家同步建成全面小康社會。
