The Military System with Chinese Features

In his report to the 19th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping called for developing and improving a military system with Chinese features, which is a system of institutions ensuring the CPC's position as the ruling party and its mission to improve the socialist system, protect national security and development interests, and promote world peace and development. The system guides the development and employment of the armed forces, and plays a fundamental and all-encompassing role in strengthening national defense and the military. An important component of China's socialist system, this system is a product of innovative application by the CPC of Marxist military theory to China's realities. At the institutional level it provides essential support for achieving the Party's goal of building a world-class military in the new era. 

中國特色社會主義軍事制度

2017年10月18日，習近平在中國共產黨第十九次全國代表大會的報告中提出，完善和發展中國特色社會主義軍事制度。中國特色社會主義軍事制度，是中國共產黨為鞏固黨的執政地位和完善社會主義制度、維護國家安全和發展利益、促進世界和平與發展而確立的軍事力量建設和運用規則體系，基本功能是調節軍事關系、規范軍事實踐、保障軍事發展，對國防和軍隊建設具有根本性、全局性、基礎性作用。中國特色社會主義軍事制度，是中國特色社會主義制度的重要組成部分，是中國共產黨把馬克思主義軍事理論與中國軍事實踐相結合的偉大創新，是實現黨在新時代的強軍目標、全面建成世界一流軍隊的根本制度保障。
