In October 2013, the then South Korean President Park Geun-hye proposed building a “Silk Road Express” to connect railways in South Korea, North Korea, Russia, China, Central Asia and Europe, and create an energy network of power grids and gas and oil pipelines in Eurasia. This is a core element of South Korea’s “Eurasia Initiative,” which intends to integrate rail, roads, ports and aviation into a unified system of logistics solutions.

時(shí)任韓國(guó)總統(tǒng)樸槿惠于2013年10月提出了名為“絲綢之路快速鐵路”的事業(yè)構(gòu)想，旨在構(gòu)建連接韓國(guó)、朝鮮、俄羅斯、中國(guó)、中亞、歐洲的絲綢之路快速鐵路，并在歐亞地區(qū)構(gòu)建電力、天然氣和輸油管線等能源網(wǎng)絡(luò)。“絲綢之路快速鐵路”是韓國(guó)“歐亞倡議”的核心內(nèi)容之一，它以鐵路為中心，通過(guò)鐵路、道路、港口及航空構(gòu)筑起一體化的物流運(yùn)輸交通體系。

The “Silk Road Express” project has, however, been put on the back burner due to the troubled relationship between the two neighbors on the Korean peninsula, and the difficulties in implementing the Eurasia Initiative. Meanwhile, the government and businesses of South Korea, a close neighbor of China, are showing growing interest in China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

韓國(guó)的“絲綢之路快速鐵路”計(jì)劃因朝韓關(guān)系停滯、“歐亞倡議”落地困難等原因踟躇不前。作為中國(guó)的近鄰，韓國(guó)政府和企業(yè)對(duì)“一帶一路”建設(shè)的關(guān)注正在逐步增加。
