Outstanding Hong Kong professionals should be selected to serve as civil servants in inland areas, according to a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
This proposal was made by Li Yang, a Hong Kong businessman and a member of the National Committee of the (CPPCC), China's top advisory body.
He said, ?I think this is a good measure to solve the problem of professional shortages over the next few years resulting from China's WTO entry.?
He noted that the significance of this move lies in proving to the whole world the ?one country, two systems? concept is ?reliable and feasible.?
Meanwhile, the move will also energetically promote the great course of China's reunification, he said.
