Dagoba Gate to Ta'er Temple in Huangzhong of Qinghai Province
Ta'er Temple, situated in the southwestern corner of Lusha'er Town in Huangzhong County, was the birthplace of Sumatikirti (Tsonkhapa in Tibetan), founder of the Gelukpa order of Lamaism. The temple was first built in 1560 in the Ming Dynasty and was one of the six major temples of the Gelukpa order.

The dagoba gate was built in 1711 in the Qing Dynasty. Sumatikirti's mother is said to have lived in a tent there, and the dagoba was built to commemorate her and to serve as a Buddhist shrine for disciples to prostrate themselves. In the past people had to go through the gate to visit the temple.

The dagoba spans a street. It is built of brick and stone and its huge base has a passage for people to walk through. The base has sculptured brick brackets and crosspieces and is inscribed with the six magical words of Lamaism in Tibetan. On top of the base is an inverted- bowl-style dagoba.
